OTHER COACHING AREAS

Coaching is the principle of helping people achieve what they want.

It can be used in almost any area in business and in life.

These can be one-off interventions that move things on quickly, clearing unresolved issues between individuals or groups.

Sometimes there are ‘difficult to put your finger on’ issues where there is a noticeable atmosphere, behavioural issues or gossip indicating that 'something is not right'.

Clearing these blockages early can have a dramatic effect on results. For Instance:

  • Addressing personal issues that directly effect work performance. (An example being a key management team member who was in the midst of a separation from his wife. He knew it was affecting his performance at work and had tried to resolve it without success. He was helped to accept where he was at in life and put himself in control of this situation.)

  • Creating breakthroughs from breakdowns. What can be seen as insurmountable or recurring problems can be addressed in a new way to create a breakthrough alleviating the issues.

  • Freeing the team to allow progress. The coach monitors the dynamics of the team and attends to the group process while allowing the team to focus on the task in hand.

  • Creating pathways for progress. Setting clear goals, establishing where you are now (the current reality), creating structural tension, which results in highlighting the most effective action to be taken.

Coaching is effective in helping with many other issues, including:

  • Confidence

  • Health

  • Stress
